12:55 a.m. A 1 minute dance in the living room to Carlos’s new song “Trompe L’Oeuf”. He’s sitting on the couch. I’m laughing and getting down to a groovy tune. Carlos is laughing at me (or is it with me?).  In the song, he’s trumpeting with no trumpet. Do do do do do. Fun and playful. Rhythmic.

Late night after a great chat. Alice is upstairs warming herself by the radiator. The night is cool and overcast. -6 degrees Celsius.
