Excitable media

1:30 – 4 p.m. Generating excitable media in conversation with Marcin about movement improvisation and the potency of becoming with others through movement. The conversation is a dance. Excitations. Activations. Creating in conversation. After coffee we go to Winchester Street Theatre to see Parahumans Dance Theatre perform. The opening film and the first piece carries faint echos of little elements of our conversation. But the composition was in the image of the Same–mired in a history of philosophy that doesn’t know how to move. The second piece, an improvisation with 8 (+?) dancers generated an excitable media in which movements could propagate. Moments that generated shivers in me. Echoes of Deleuze’s centres of indetermination? I felt danced by the dance.
Home now, Alice cries from the hall, little hellos. It was a gorgeous, sunny day. Almost warm. The night has fallen cold.
