dance #65, reading on mimesis

Reading Unmaking Mimesis by Elin Diamond.

11:00 p.m. 15 minute dance in the study. Dancing while reading the introduction of Unmaking Mimesis. Amazing. I resonate with Diamond–this is a performance theory of mimesis. It converges with what I was thinking of as the modes and means of molecular embodiments inside the mimetic modeling culture of structural biology. Mimesis as generative. A way of making that helps others conjure, get entangled with, and propagate entire worlds and ways of seeing. And, and, and, and… Or?

The movements were all balancing. Standing, centering, opening, widening, lifting. I move orienting my body in the room and in relation to the text that pulls my eyes.

Alice is eager for attention. It was a gorgeous sunny day. Cool. The night is chilling. -4 degrees Celsius.
