The dancing ladies

8:30-9:45 p.m. The dancing ladies reunite after a long hiatus at Dovercourt house for a first gathering to begin a new dance project for the Second Floor Collective. Appropriately we are dancing on the 2nd floor. We begin a warm up standing in a circle, facing outwards with our bodies snug up against each other. Listening to each others breath. Sinking into synchronous breathing. We move on the outbreath, leaning into each other, the movements growing as the dance evolves. The dance that unfolds is a slow, flowing entanglement of bodies, tangling and unraveling. It feels so wonderful to be moving with these women who I know and trust so well.

A gorgeous warm night. Half mooon high and bright. Alice just wandered off while I was writing. Drawing posted the following day, in the sunshine.
