dance #97, over-wintered parsnip

Over-wintered parsnip
1:00 a.m. A 2 minute resonance with an over-wintered parsnip which had been left in the earth through the winter. It’s body is so alive. I can feel it in my hands. I tune in. The parsnip is rooted. Recently uprooted. Beautiful. It activates my roots, core, exciting downward energy. I take the parsnip out onto the patio–the city all bright after the lights come back on post-earth hour. The night sky resonates with city lights, and there are black storm clouds off in the distance. I take the parsnip back inside and hold it for a while. I’m wearing a black vintage dress and pearls after a party. I am enjoying the contrast. Alice is purring loudly, pacing through the study, nudging my hand while I try to draw. The parsnip was a gift from Alorani.
