dance #148, humber river ridingHumber River riding

2-3 p.m. Cycling along the Humber River. Racing, weaving, winding along the water. People and trees fly by. The curving road pulls me. Pitched forward on my bicycle, I lean into the speed. Heaving up hills, falling down hills. Weaving paths. Trees lean in to the curves with me. Arcing up, sweeping over as I pass. Alice sits on the armchair facing away from me as I crouch on the floor of the study to draw. It was a shining day with cold, blustery winds off the lake.
