Infolding
11:00 p.m. A 5 minute infolding with Alice-the-cat in the study. Thinking with Donna Haraway’s When Species Meet while Alice and I hold one another in regard. Infolding. I lay down on my back and invite Alice to assume her favorite position. She lays on my belly, her paws nestled up by my neck. I curl my body up, enclosing her in my limbs. Curled around her. We infold. Breathing. Just chilling. The dance is what happens in the calmness of our encounter. Resting. At ease with each other. Alice was frantic earlier, running up and down the hallways and crying out into the night on the patio. It was a sunny, breezy day.
