Nomadic science, Take II
7:00-8:00 p.m. Building dances in Marcinku’s living room with large, rectangular Styrofoam moulds. Blocks of white lightness becoming volumes, becoming towers, becoming totems, becoming creatures, becoming appendages, becoming cities, becoming shattered worlds, becoming furniture, becoming dances. A new energy infuses our improvisations. More calmness, more quiet, more space for movement, more experimentation, more focus, more inquiry. Later we went for a walk down to the beach. The lake was so calm, so soft. Gently lapping up at the shore. Moon half and high. I felt the pull of the water and wanted to dance more. Home now, Alice wanders in and out calling at me while I draw and post. A grey day turned to sun.
