Billie Jean
After midnight. A five minute dance in the study to Michael Jackson’s song Billie Jean. Michael Jackson died today. This was a dance for his rising spirit. Dancing, I was brought to tears feeling the power he possessed to set so many bodies in motion. The dance was energized. Thrusting gestures punching upwards. Joyful knowing how many people around the world are listening to this song tonight and just letting their bodies go. May he finally rest in peace.
Alice is elsewhere. I’m tearful drawing on the study floor. Rain pounded down with loud thunderclaps and lightning bolts earlier today. Birds are still calling out on this dark humid night. There’s a shrill cry outside my window that sounds like a young raccoon in distress. I went down to check and a baby raccoon was wandering the street. Farrah Fawcett also died today.
