A dance for a waxing moon
9:45 p.m. Slow dance out under the stars in the garden behind the Buddha. A soft dance with and for the moon. Bathing in silvered light. It is setting now, on the opposite side of the world where it rose a week ago. The dance is gentle. Yogic chants move through tissues freshly articulated after this intense day of the yoga retreat. The stars are abundant. As I dance the moon is engulfed in clouds. Thickly. Light still emanates. It poured today. Thunder and lightning. Lightning flashes out in the distance again tonight.
