Morning garden
6:30 a.m. Early morning gardening out on the patio. Bent over at the hips, leaning into the garden with scissors in hand. I dead-head the spent borage and cut and uproot the over-matured lettuces. I arrange the pots. I pluck and cut the flowers from the oregano, which is just busting out of a large bushel. The day is young and moist from last night’s rain. Thunder claps and lighting and abundant rains later in the day.
