Dusk Dances
8:00 p.m. at Withrow Park. Massive dragon flies flit through the dying light as I sit with little Felix and hundreds of others to watch a choreography at this outdoor dance festival. The dance is set in a grove of illuminated by florescent lights perched long up against tree trunks. Three dancers, limbs long and reaching. Lilting and falling. Soft collapses into thick green grasses. Limbs loose. Tumbling. Arms and hands furling and unfurling. Two dancers entangle. A third walks off into the distance down a hill. The piece is magic. Felix likes it too.
