Imaginary flower II
10:30 p.m. A 2 minute dance in the study. Reading Deleuze on The Fold again. Materiality as elastic unfoldings. Thinking through flowering as unfolding. Unfurling. Of all that was already there. I let a flower grow inside me. The dance plays with a becoming as an imaginary flower. The flower that grows is angular, jagged. Little eruptions of leaves and petals and fruits. Rapid, jagged, popping. Rising up through body from rhythmic feet through knees and angular flickering arms and hands. Also reading about gesture. Re-membering flowering and leaving as gesture. Alice is lounging elsewhere. The night grows colder. Winds picking up. A multitude of sirens call out in the distance with urgency.
