bloom bloom bloom
9:30 p.m. A 5 minute dance in the study with d.a. levy’s poem “roses that” Cool night air flows in through the open windows and doors. I move with the poem again. The rhythms are still percolating. The blooming is anything but lightness. There is an insistent, sinewy movement that in-gathers and then pulls outward from my core. Rotations. Heliotropisms. But with an unmistakable animality that undoes any notion that blooming is just a plant phenomena. Limbs articulate. Rotations rhythmic. The day was full of sun. Alice wanders and calls out. This marks the last day of my summer.
