Peaches, Drambuie and full-moon sirens

10:45 p.m. A 7 minute dance in the study savouring the flavours of a peach compote spiked with Drambuie (a floral scotch whiskey blended with heather honey and herbs). The flavours are apricot and kumquat. Tangy, bright, sour, orange. Tricking the tongue. Flavours so mingled they are indistinguishable. The dance plays out with the sounds of sirens swerving through the full-moon night. Then there’s silence. Playful, angular, and sinewy movements come a live.

Alice rubs her cheeks and purrs nearby. It was a beautiful, sunny day.
